    Worth every penny. And worth every minute of reading.

    Agile and it's variants are powerful and useful, but there are also times when nothing will do but to calculate a critical path. This book is a great guide to the classic PMBOK methods of which every Project Manager should have a strong command -- even in primarily Agile environments.

    The book was particularly helpful to us at Synaptic a we developed out Risk Modulated Project Management -- RMPM(TM) -- framework.

    Kerzner's textbook is an excellent, fairly well-written book, following the standard SQRRR method. The coverage is much more in-depth than the 6th edition PMBOK, which is part of the same course for me. It is a lot of material for someone who has never had any formal project management training, but the information I will be using for a long time to come in my work as a project manager.

    Amazing book with so much information on what is required for managing projects. I like the way the information provided and how they are linked to the PMBOK guide which is very important for those who would like to take the PMBOK exam. The book is well written (easy to understand and follow). I like the examples, tips, exercises, illustrations, tables, etc. One very good thing about this book is that it gives a lot of case studies which is one of the best ways to learning. This is a book that must have for those who needs to understand the basic and more about Projects management and about being a Project Manager. In fact, I would recommend to read (and even study it) this book before you take or given the responsibility to manage projects.

It covers every single aspect of a large project , how to manage, how to look out for red flags, what type of planning etc.

    Particularly impressed with the emphasis on SCOPE. Anyone who's consulted knows this is a killer area that covers workload and it can upset time allotments and create problems for individuals and teams.

    If you want a Bible on PM, this is your book.

If not - well, take a look at all the negative reviews. The information is presented well, in a manner in which I tend to take my own notes, so it is very familiar to me. If the style of the book is similar to your own notetaking or learning style, you will love this book. If not, you may need to keep looking.
